Hilary's new painting of Kent is finished

This week Hilary finished a somewhat epic task: a large gouache painting inspired by her memories of growing up in Kent.

Many of the elements are true to older Kent life. The hop gardens and oast houses that Kent is famous for appear, alongside memories of the farmers' dogs that would chase the local children when they cycled by.

Hilary doesn't often use gouache but enjoyed working in glazes for this piece. We hope to have it available as a print and card soon.
